Amit holds a bachelors degree in Electronics and Telecommunications from Mumbai University
and a Master's degree in Computer Engineering from Rice University, US.
Amit started out his career working with Baker Atlas, Houston writing in-house measurement
and calibration software. He then shifted focus to Technology and Process consulting and has
accumulated 6 years of work experience. He worked with Sapient in San Francisco/New Delhi
and Accenture in London/Mumbai on various consulting and Information Technology based
projects with clients like Franklin Templeton, Thomas Weizel Partners, Scudder-Kemper
Investments, ChemConnect.com, Vignette, Caterpillar, Mail.com, California State Automobile
Association (CSAA) and Disney.
More recently since 2004 - Amit has been based in Dubai to establish and expand the office
network for the Ambe Group of companies. From the first office in Dubai (in the name of
GulfPersonnel) this has expanded to offices in Qatar and Oman. Each of the offices offers services
in Recruitment (Project based and focused executive search), Online Resume Databases
(www.GulfPersonnel.com) , Secondment / Payroll Administration and Compensation
Surveys/Intelligence.
GulfPersonnel now has signed global master contracts with large EPC organizations like JGC,
KBR, Linde etc and primarily concentrates on the EPC and Information Technology verticals.
GulfPersonnel also counts amongst its clients some of the largest and best organizations in the
Middle East for its various services.
